Yin Journey Series: Yin Yoga with Live Sound Journey

Enjoy the peacefulness of an intimate class and setting to allow for deeper connection.

Yin is here to help you ground, reduce the heart rate, and regulate the nervous system. Allow this to be your hour to unwind, let go and relax into your natural state of calm.

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin yoga focuses on holding passive poses for an extended period of time allowing your body to really sink into the pose and find relaxation. The poses are held for 2-5 minutes because this is what is needed for your  body’s connective tissue (fascia) to release. This process will bring you flexibility, mobility and a sense of ease for both the body, mind, and Spirit.

Sara will guide you through this transformative journey with a mindful approach to breath and movement working together as one allowing you to embrace the present moment & cultivate a sense of stillness within. Rhythm Bird will create a container with an ensemble of world instruments to invoke a sense of ease, safety and peacefulness. Rhythm Bird will intuitively play off of the energy in the room and Sara’s unique flow for the day.  Allow your mind to focus on the sounds while your body deepens into the poses.

This one of a kind experience creates a space for self love and compassion to arise from within. Join Sara Shaw and Rhythm Bird at the Music Monastery for a Wednesday night Yin Journey Series. 6pm – 7:15pm

Drop in Donation: $44

All Wednesdays in April – Full Series Experience: $160

What to Bring: your yoga mat, Journal/ Pen, socks and eye mask (optional)

About Sara Shaw

Sara is a 500hr-E-RYT yoga instructor who has been teaching yoga to students of diverse backgrounds and abilities for almost 2 decades. She found herself at a yoga ashram (place of spiritual worship) after college and lived there for 7 years asana, breath work, meditation, Ayurveda, Mantras, and the importance of the connections between all things. Her training is highly focused on the yoking of breath body and Spirit as one. She likes to bring a light hearted sense of joy into her classes. She insists that yoga isn’t about turning yourself into a pretzel but about finding a deep inner connection. When she isn’t on the mat she can be found in a hammock relaxing, playing with her Golden, or camping by some water.
